Amanda took a college class in pottery and loved it.

I recently found out about a pottery class at South Bend Art Museum and decided to take a class to get out of the house and do something with my hands.

I started with Intro To Hand Building and now do Open Studio time.

I stay inspired by seeing other artists at the studio and what they make. It encourges me to keep making.

I love making bowls, especially on the wheel. I love working on the wheel because still new, I can learn and hone my skill.
Yes, there are times when a bowl gets too wet and will collapse. I reuse the clay when it’s ready.
Travel. I recently traveled to New York City and saw a Broadway play, went to art museums, and visited some classic NYC restaurants.
Last Fall I went overseas to Copenhagen, Denmark then to Nice and Paris, France. Next May I’m planning a trip to Scotland.
Be curious. Just begin and be curious. Don’t be discouraged if things go wrong. You don’t even need to own all the resources, you can take classes or do open studio like I did and do at South Bend Art Museum.
